Arrest (someone) for a crime.
Example: He was apprehended for murder later that day and would appear on trial on October 5th.

Provide support for someone or something.
Example: No police backup could be expected.

An improvised barrier erected to defend against opposing forces.
Example: A barricade was set up to defend the police force against the unruly mob on the opposite side.

An official who investigates violent, sudden, or suspicious deaths.
Example: The coroner learned that the politician did not die by hanging but was instead killed by order of the government.
